Who we are

SaLT by the Sea is an independent Speech and Language Therapy service providing face-to-face services and support online. The service is owned and managed by Speech and Language Therapist, Bryony Rust.

Privacy and personal data storage is taken very seriously. All measures are taken to ensure that your information is safe, secure and necessary. We only store information that is needed in order to provide a service.

This privacy policy lays out for you how your data is used, stored and managed.

What personal data we collect and why

Cookies

For tracking purposes cookies may be set on your browser. This helps to understand how users interact with the website.

Analytics

When someone visits www.saltbythesea.com we use a third party service, PostHog, to collect standard internet log information and visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out what types of information is of most interest to people, and to inform future content. Some anonymous performance data is also collected by Vercel, our hosting provider.

Mailing list

When you sign up for the SaLT by the Sea newsletter your first name and email address is stored on a third party mail provider: Brevo. This information is used to send you mail and address it to you personally. Brevo provides statistics about email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies. You can unsubscribe to general mailing at any time by clicking the ‘unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of every newsletter.

Client data

If you become a client, then additional information is stored as part of the service provided. This includes written case notes, audio/video clips and postal address. When you become a client you will be asked to sign a consent form that includes further details on this.
